Blue-violet Merino

I couldn’t wait to get up this morning and ply this to see how it would turn out. The picture is right off the swift – no washing yet. It’s good. Still some problems when I join in while spinning. I have to keep ripping it out until I get that right. Some thick and thin but not as bad as previously. One single was near perfect. So the bottom line is that I’m making progress, even though it’s slower than I wanted. šŸ™‚

The other good thing is that I was able to spin the yarn so thin that even three-plied, it is still a fat fingering or sport weight. I like that. I only spun 1.6 oz (of the 8 oz I have) and got 71 yards of 3-ply. That’s a lot compared to what I was getting.

My right wrist is sore. I might be getting a repetitive stress injury. I need to give it a rest today.
