Exciting Softball Tournament

31 May

I’m not at this weekend’s softball tournament. It’s two hours away and one of us needed to stay home to take DJ for more testing for his new high school. That’s tomorrow but I wasn’t about to drive for 4 total hours today and then climb back into the car to drive 2-3 hours tomorrow.

Well, as it turns out, I’m missing THE tournament of the season! They went 3-0 today. Gianna pitched an awesome first game, played 3rd base for the second game, and hit an in-the-park home run in the third game! And I missed all of it!

Well… That’s not exactly true. There is this software package called Game Changer. I usually keep score at the games using it, but today Dan kept score. With this package, you can view the game live while it is being played.

The third game was such a nail biter and I was filled with nervous energy. I was just a basket case. So what to do? I knitted up a washcloth while watching the game online.

I had this pattern picked out to knit up while DJ was testing tomorrow but I whipped through it during the double overtime 3rd game. I had all but the last 5 rows done, so I just went ahead and finished it. Why not appliqué or sew on my sewing machine? I needed something mind numbing and this wash cloth was the ticket!

Now to pick out a new pattern for tomorrow’s test.
