Hand Appliqué

16 May

I came across a group of orphan hand appliqué blocks that are in the UFO pile.

I’m self-taught in just about everything, so one thing I do quite often is pick some technique I want to tackle and then make a block or two or three trying to figure out the best way to tackle that technique. I wish I would make FOUR – then I could have a small wall hanging or something!

But what should I do with this mixed up mess of sizes and colors? Any suggestions on how to make them into a cohesive unit? Even if I don’t use all of them? Or have to make a few more?

You know you really need to put them in a sampler quilt. There is lots of work in them and you need to show them off. Then really look nice.
