Block E1

4 May

I decided to do block E1 next.

I’ve had very little time to work on it, but it’s an easy block so far and I’ve made great progress. About 3/4 of those leaves are sewn down. See what I mean about the lack of symmetry in the blocks? I love that! If a leaf is tilted slightly, it doesn’t matter at all. That’s so freeing.

We had a softball tournament yesterday and won one game but lost two. Gianna pitched well but had too many walks. There was one inning where both she and the team fell apart. The other team was able to hit her pitches, but our team was making error after error. Then Gianna tried too hard to strike out the batter and was aiming instead of just throwing and she ended up walking too many. But they turned it around and started hitting to make it close, but ran out of time. She came in during the last game as a closer also and pitched really well. She hit a screamer double in right center.

Today is another whirlwind of activity. We have city ball softball practice 10am-noon; a piano recital 2-3:30pm; and another travel ball practice 5-7pm. She got all her homework done Friday night so that helps.

I will not attend the last practice so I can get LAUNDRY done! Now that sounds like fun, huh?
