Almost There

9 Oct

I found a little time to piece between my day and evening class yesterday.  All these blocks and sashing pieces are set into rows but the rows aren’t sewn together yet.  I have two pictures.  This first one looks like there are too many light blocks and sashing together in the row that’s closest.

I took this picture by standing at the exact opposite end and now those blocks look just fine – but the light one front and center looks really, really light.

So I think the layout will be okay.

I need two more sashing rows pieced and then I can begin sewing the rows together.  Borders and I’m done!

Just my opinion, but the bottom half looks lighter than the top half. Bring some of the top ones to the bottom, or it could be the light that makes them look lighter. It looks great…

I think I need to put them on a design wall and take a picture straight on instead of at an angle. Maybe a row or two can be switched.

That’s coming along nicely. Looking forward to seeing what a difference the borders make.

Thanks. I was with you on the on-point setting but the boy liked this one!

Wow, that looks great! Design wall might be a good idea if you can’t make up your mind on the layout.
