Piano Recital And A French Woman

6 Dec

What a title huh? 🙂

My 10yo had another piano recital on Sunday.  She played “Casey Jones” and “Merry Christmas Gramma”.  What?  You’ve never head of “Merry Christmas Gramma”?  That’s because there is no such song!  We put that in the program so her Gramma never knew that secretly Gianna was practicing her Gramma’s favorite Christmas song – “Jingle Bell Rock”.  It was a nice surprise!

Gianna played so well.  She always does!  She won the Music Award again.  That award is given by her teacher to the student who always practices and has a great attitude towards her lessons and piano in general.  That’s Gianna in a nutshell.  Of course, I would win it if I ever played in a recital.  🙂  I practice twice as long as Gianna does but with only 1/2 the results!  LOL

Hey, crack a smile! You like playing the piano, remember?

She’s so serious….sheesh.

Now, what about that french woman?  Well, I made a beret and asked my oldest son to photograph it with me wearing it.  He said, “What are you – French or something?”  Oui, oui.

What a great surprise! She is so nice to learn to play that song. She sure made my day.
That means she’ll have to play it again for me.
    Thanks Gianna……

That Gianna is a real sweatheart! Nice beret too. Can you learn Tiny Dancer by Elton John on the piano. I think it’s a real challenge, but hey you need a real challenge to keep up with Gianna. 🙂
