Another Tumbler Quilt

26 Mar

Hmmm… don’t know about this one.  I am trying to use up my stash and cut and cut and cut this morning.  I cut a strip of all my “earth tones”.  Dang, I have some ugly stash.

It’s 85″ across.  I’ll have to piece a lot of rows.  Good thing I have a lot of ugly stash to work through.  I have a couple of pieces that I considered lights/mediums which really aren’t (see middle of bottom row and those gold/oranges).  I might have to replace those because they are bugging me.  My design assistant (Gianna – age eight) and I decided on this setting instead of the “grape juice” look in the previous quilt.  The jury’s still out on that decision too.  Another utilitarian quilt for one of our beds or just for whatever.

My haircut from two days ago is bad… I just can’t adapt to change I guess.    I want my ponytail back even if I am too old for one.

That looks like fun to stitch!
My last hair cut looked like someone took a weed whacker to my bags!
